EOS imaging is committed to quality and customer satisfaction. We understand that properly trained technologists provide better care and that your EOS system must be properly functioning to benefit patients with our low dose exams. This is why we offer extensive start-up training as well as follow-up trainings that keep you up to speed on the latest developments with the EOS platform. We also strongly encourage you to remain on a service and maintenance contract to ensure that any downtime is limited and the cost of ownership is predictable. 

Training: An integral part of a well functioning system and team

EOS imaging strives to provide your team with numerous training options that match your facility's needs. Whether it’s getting everyone ready and excited for the use of your EOS system or your team has grown and new members need to be trained, we’re here for you.  

Initial training

  • EOS System: This theoretical training will teach you the unique aspects of EOS including our proprietary detector and slot scanning technology. You will then receive hands-on training covering how to operate the EOS system, position patients and acquire images. Your application specialist will stay onsite while you perform a variety of exams to ensure that you’re confident and ready.
  • sterEOS Workstation: This hands-on training covers the core functionalities of sterEOS that are necessary to get you started. After the training you will know how to access and search the patient database, view 2D/3D images from any sterEOS workstation and perform 3D workflows to calculate your patient’s lower limb alignment and sagittal balance. You will also learn how to send EOS 2D images to our 3DServices and interpret the resulting 3D models and advanced 3D parameters.

Advanced 3D training

  • sterEOS 3D Workflows:If your facility prefers to generate 3D models and patient reports in-house rather than using the EOS 3DServices, you will need additional training on our user-friendly, 3D modeling workflows.
    • Lower Limb 3D Modeling:These workflows enable you to model the lower limbs in order to understand your patient’s alignment, deformities, leg length discrepancies and to also analyze the outcome of their THA post-operatively.
    • Spine 3D Modeling:These workflows allow you quickly analyze your patient’s scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis or their entire spine including the rotation of each individual vertebrae.

Customized training

At any time, you may request additional training on EOS and/or sterEOS. These trainings will be customized to meet your site’s specific needs and are ideal for new employees, additional users and for maximizing the new features and benefits of the EOS platform.

Service and Maintenance

At EOS imaging, we understand that exceptional service is an important part of owning an EOS system. Our service team is ready to address your needs in a timely and professional manner with minimal interruption to you and your patients. We are able to be onsite when it’s most convenient including nights and weekends to keep downtime to a minimum. We pride ourselves on building a strong relationship with your site by assigning a primary field engineer to each account. Your experienced technician will be a reliable extension of your team who is familiar with your staff, set-up, system and preferences.

We are there for you from site planning and defining regulatory requirements to delivery with a reliable network of tranporters who can accommodate even the most complex circumstances. We will receive the system at your site, install and test it following our rigorous procedures. Our team won’t leave until full, functional testing and quality certifications are complete.

Once installed, we are committed to maintaining your EOS and acting quickly to get your system up and running should you experience a problem. Our technicians are certified and thoroughly educated on all aspects of the EOS system to ensure quality. We offer several standard service packages to meet your needs as well as tailored technical support options. Shoud you prefer to handle the Level 1 interventions internally, we can train your staff accordingly.

Upgrades and Accessories

sterEOS

The sterEOS 1.8 upgrade includes a new workstation with advancements in sterEOS. Upgrading to sterEOS 1.8 opens new connectivity features for sharing and transferring data safely throughout the hospital and to external referring physicians. It also allows you to automatically push patient’s data  to 3DServices. The upgrade includes a robust patient database that is easy to query and provides traceability and easier case management for the healthcare professionals involved in the patient’s treatment.

  • sterEOS 1.8 functionality:

Micro Dose

Micro Dose is an optional EOS feature that can be used to monitor spine and lower limb disease progression in pediatric patients, particularly for pathologies which require frequent monitoring such as scoliosis. With Micro Dose, patient exposure is even further minimized in accordance with ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Micro Dose is compatible with 3D modeling of the patient’s spine with the sterEOS workstation or through our 3DServices.

EOS Radiolucent Chair

The EOS Radiolucent Chair acquires frontal and lateral EOS images of the patient’s spine and pelvis in a natural, seated position. Once the patient is securely fastened in the chair, the wheels roll him or her smoothly into your EOS cabin. The resulting image quality is uncompromised due to the radiolucent materials. From the bi-planar images which are captured simultaneously at a low dose, 3D modeling can be done using the sterEOS workstation or EOS 3DServices.*
